15th Mobile Photo Awards

This photo was taken in Bratislava last year in early summer. A group of us did a leisurely cycle ( well not so leisurely for some of us!) from Vienna to Budapest, along country lanes and minor roads mostly. We stopped one night in Bratislava and cycled along the Most SNP Bridge to get to our hotel. Constructed in 1972, I think it's called the UFO Bridge as well. Pedestrians and cyclists can travel underneath the traffic. I lingered a bit on the city side of the bridge to take some photos with the phone just as we crossed into the Old Town of Bratislava.

The second photo to receive an Honourable Mention was taken in October 2025 on a visit to Madeira, a Portuguese Achipelago roughly 430 miles  west of Morocco. We joined my brother and his wife there for 5/6 days  and thankfully he was happy to do the driving .. a little hair raising at times! We had a lovely swim here in this beautiful tidal pool.. a very different experience to swimming in Irl!

The last photo was taken in early November 2025 on a hillwalking trek towards Scarr Mountain in Co Wicklow. It might have been a fairly bleak winter weatherwise in Ireland, but it's still a real treat to get out on the mountains for a hike, despite the muck and the rainshowers!
